Tata Airbus Helicopter Facility Gives Another Major Boost to Karnataka's Aerospace Ecosystem

Karnataka has secured a major aerospace milestone as Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Airbus establish India’s first private helicopter Final Assembly Line in Kolar (Vemagal Industrial Area). The facility will manufacture Airbus H125 helicopters and is expected to be a key part of India’s growing aviation ecosystem under the Make in India initiative. With initial capacity of around 10 helicopters per year and scope for expansion, the project strengthens Karnataka’s position as a leading aerospace hub. This development is expected to boost high-skilled jobs, industrial growth, and long-term economic activity in the Bengaluru region.
